Human compassion?!? where?!?

See, human compassion is a funny thing. We will open our hearts and wallets for an animal shelter that needs a new set of kennels, or the "Christians childrens Fund", but someone has to tell me that there is more then that that we can do. Some people have the view that disease, famine, poverty, and murder are all ways of "natural selection" or survival of the fittest. Some say its population control. they are both sane and logical, but where the hell is the compassion in that? Im not one to talk, because i agree with both of thoes ideas. =)
