good ol' valentine
Damnit, i think the little bastard struck again. Love is in the air and everyones goin soft. im only 18 and i feel old when i say " man i can remember being stupid" or " wow love is awsome." i honestly think the concept of valentinesday is good, ya know, show your love that you still love her/him, "no matter what". But it just isnt for me. I would rather live it up then live it tied down. i think valentines day shouldnt be a day to spend together, but apart. Take the day to "detox" from your significant other, and the day after will be a much better day. The time apart lets you reflect on how you really feel about the person, and at the end of the day, when she is back in your arms, you will know if they are the right person. Dont get scared if the day felt good not being in contact with that person, its normal to want to get away. But on this day you should me evaluatin
g the pros and cons of the relationship. But hell, thats just my opinion.

Reflection on Doe Season
The story "Doe Season", written by David Kaplan, is a story about a girl, who calls herself Andy and goes on a hunting trip with her father, his friend and his son. on this hunting trip, Andy stumbles upon a bit of self -discovery. Andy does better than any of the men she was with. still, she has a difficult time adjusting and adapting to the men themselves. she felt extremely uncomfortable with the references made to and about her. when she was by herself gathering sticks, she saw a buck and two doe. being excited and the only one to see any deer on the trip, she scurried back to the camp. And of course, the men, being so sure of themselves, responded with hostility. They all searched the surrounding the forrest for the deer, and none were found. she felt very astranged when the young man in the group when he called her a liar. These awkward and sometimes painful situations brought her to the conclusion that she could not succede in the world if she was to be a boy. she was a girl, and with that came her own responsibilities.
